Our practice focuses on the day to day veterinary care needed to keep your pet active, healthy and a special member of your family.

The surgery has been an integral part of the community for many years. Ellie bought the surgery in August 2000 and has continued to develop it, ensuring that clients benefit from the latest best practices offered by the veterinary profession.

The Surgery has air-conditioned reception and consulting rooms. Parking facilities are available free of charge outside the surgery and in adjacent roads. We are located in Herne Hill, South East London, adjacent to Brockwell Park.

We’ve built up a good supply of foldable animal crates of varying sizes. We’ve had a sort out and now we’re selling the extras and we’ll give the proceeds to charity for the Dogs Trust. A little more about us

Ellie Richardson BSc BVMS (Hons) MRCVS

Ellie graduated from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia. Her primary veterinary interests are small animal medicine, geriatrics and behaviour.  Pets have always been an integral part of her life, and she understands how important pets are to their owners. Since settling in the UK from Australia, Ellie has owned a varied collection of cats – two in particular – Ginge and Leo, the ginger and white surgery cats.

 “Taking the time to understand our clients and the needs of their pets is one of our most important principles”. We look forward to welcoming you at our surgery!

Kat Price BVetMed MRCVS

Kat joined Norwood Road Vet Surgery in 2013, and is a most welcome addition to our practice. Since graduating in 2009, she has worked in two country practices tending to both pets and farm animals and over that time gained a diverse range of veterinary experience. She places great importance on helping you to understand your pet’s diagnosis and treatment options.

Amy Melleney (BVetMed) MRCVS

Amy graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2015 and worked in mixed equine and small animal practice in Hampshire and Essex prior to joining a rural practice in New Zealand treating horses, farm dogs and cats. Amy joined the practice in October 2018 and her primary veterinary interests are surgery and ophthalmology.

The Team

Our Registered Nurses are Jen and Aisling, and our auxiliary nurses are Freyja and Louise. Sophie looks after our reception. They are all passionate animal-lovers.
